  • Williams Concrete Construction Company
    4.5
    753 W. Waterloo Road, Akron, 44314, US

About Williams Concrete Construction Co. Inc. Since its inception in 1975 by its founders, Jack “Bill” & Nancy Williams, Williams Concrete Construction Company Incorporated has grown to be known as a leader in the concrete construction industry in the Northeast Ohio area. With Bill having learned the trade from Arthur E. Fabbro of Fabbro Concrete in the early 1960’s and eventually becoming a foreman and managing some of the larger scale work in the Akron/ Cleveland area, he learned the principles of integrity, quality, and the importance of a commitment in business, even if it was just over a handshake. With Bill, “his handshake was his promise.” Bill took the things that he learned from Art, and with the support of Nancy, decided to go into business in July of 1975 with nothing more than a pickup truck and a little money in the bank. The focus for those first few years was primarily residential concrete work with a small amount of commercial work coming that first year. After thirty-five plus years, that first commercial customer in Akron, Ohio still relies on Williams Concrete to fulfill its concrete needs. Williams Concrete is now working with its’ sister companies in Youngstown and Warren Ohio. Relationships like these have been an important part of the success of Williams Concrete. Under Bill and Nancy’s guidance, the company grew from a small and humble company in the 1980’s, to a large scale family business. Through the years their four sons have all worked in the business from the ground up. Each son has been groomed to become part of the legacy that has continued even after the passing of Bill Sr., in late 2000. The company was then led by Bill Williams Jr. until his sudden passing in early 2004. Kevin Williams was involved until he retired in 2014. The company is now led by the youngest of the four sons Chris. Himself along with his wife Charlene, and brother Kelly Williams are involved in the day to day operations of the business. Continuing this legacy, Chris and Charlene’s five children: Chris Jr, CJ, Catherine, Cannon and Cael are now working to make their mark on this family business. Also, helping to strengthen the business are the experienced, key employees who have worked here for over thirty years. They have helped grow and nurture, this once small and humble bus

Nick's Landscaping & Dumpster Rentals It all started with a single mower. est. 2001 Established in 2001, Owner Nicholas Roth is pictured in front of his newly upgraded 1st walk behind mower and borrowed dump truck for the picture. If you look in the picture with the yellow arrow you will see his car at the time (A hand me down Cutlass Sierra) where he used the trunk of the car to transport his push mower. 2004-2008 ‘Continued Education’ was the theme of this time period. After graduating from Copley High School in 2003, owner Nick Roth attended The University of Akron obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Business and Organizational Communication with a minor in Entrepreneurship. Continued education is still encouraged throughout NL and his staff. Pictured below is Nick at an international trade show speaking with the DIY network on new innovative products and services available to the landscape industry. 2009-2014 NL brand was being worked on and the focus of the business was backyard decks and patios. So many young faces in this picture taken in 2009 at the Fairlawn 4th of July parade. 2014 Spring of 2014: NL purchases their first commercial property and moves its operations from a barn they were renting in Copley to 2246 Wadsworth Road Norton Ohio. 2015-Present NL focuses more towards commercial landscaping, blue print installation work and commercial property maintenance. This is also the period of time where the dumpster end of the business really took off. Now our dumpsters are regularly rented out for commercial demolition, remodeling and building projects as well as for residential use. Nick's Notable Landscaping & Dumpster Memories: Nick’s new dump truck is purchased in 2020. This picture was taken with Nick’s business coach, mentor and friend of many years Mr. Mario Weiss shortly after opening the new shop. “Having a strong team and surrounding yourself with people that are better than you is the key to success in life,” according to Nick. NL continues to search for new talented people to surround himself with and sticks to the concept of “always hiring the right people,” as part of the NL culture and vision. The man behind the famous NL script lettering and custom dumpster paintings- Dennis Michel. Frequently Asked Questions About Demolition Contractors

Have questions about demolition services or finding the right demolition contractor in USA? We've got answers to common inquiries:

What are the different types of demolition?

Demolition techniques vary based on project needs. Common types include:
  • Manual Demolition: Utilizes hand tools and smaller equipment for smaller structures or selective demolition tasks. It's labor-intensive but offers precise control.
  • Mechanical Demolition: Employs heavy machinery like excavators and wrecking balls for larger structures and faster demolition.
  • Implosion: Uses carefully placed explosives to collapse a building inward, often chosen for tall structures in densely populated areas. It requires specialized expertise and strict safety protocols.
  • High-Reach Demolition: Demolishes tall structures piece-by-piece from the ground up using long-reach excavators or demolition robots, minimizing dust and debris.
  • Selective Demolition: Involves carefully removing specific parts of a structure while preserving others, commonly used in renovations or partial demolitions.
A professional demolition contractor will recommend the most suitable method for your specific project based on factors like size, location, budget, and environmental considerations.

What should I do with demolition debris?

Proper debris removal is essential. Reputable demolition contractors typically handle this as part of their services:
  • Sorting and Recycling: The contractor will sort debris, separating recyclable materials like concrete, steel, and wood from non-recyclable waste.
  • Transportation and Disposal: The debris will be loaded onto trucks and transported to approved disposal facilities, such as landfills or recycling centers, in compliance with local regulations.
Inquire about the contractor's waste management practices and if they prioritize recycling to minimize the project's environmental impact.
